Ikka-who?
 
If you've come here, then chances are it's to learn a little bit more about me. Or, more likely you just clicked the wrong link. Either way, you're here now.
 
I was born in 1986, in the city of Portsmouth (south coast England), where I now live (although I've resided in various other parts of the country in the time between). I'm currently studying at university, on a video games course - it's part programming, part art and part business, but who cares about that when they give out free consoles? As you might have guessed, games are what I hope to make a career out of, but I'm not sure what particular avenue I'll go down yet.

Whilst not my legal name, Ikkarub is the one I'm best known as, both online and off, and what I prefer to be called. The origin of the name, since so many people ask, is 'Burakki' backwards, Burakki being the Japanese name of the Pokémon Umbreon (I'm a recovering Pokémon-obsessee). The name actually came about as the result of a practical joke, but it grew on me when people started shortening it, and in the end it stuck. Various varients include Ikk, Ikky, Ike, Ikka, Karu, Arub and Ikkabura - I don't really have a preference.

I'm a self-confessed geek, Pokémon fan and furry. Feel free to send hate-mail, I could use a laugh. My 'fursona' is a tiger, but isn't a character - it's just figure I use to represent myself online and in my drawings, no history or personality. If I venture amongst what's left of the Pokémon communities however, I'll still go by my old Umbreon avatar.
